High-power fan control across three international sites

PLC software development and commissioning for high-power underground ventilation fans across three international mining sites. The scope covered four 630 kW fans at Roxgold (Burkina Faso), two 500 kW fans at Semafo (Burkina Faso), and eight 500 kW fans at Esan (Turkey). Systems were built on Siemens S7-1200 and S7-300 platforms with Vacon/Danfoss variable frequency drives and Auma actuators. Automatic speed and airflow control, energy-efficient operating scenarios, fault and alarm management, and remote monitoring infrastructure were delivered. Manual intervention was reduced, downtime minimized through proactive fault management, and energy efficiency improved across all sites.
